(MeiMan is currently in Vancouver Island.) On the very day of Qingming festival, the international animal protection team of GAPI received the help request from volunteers in Yunan animal base. In a restaurant that serves dog meat in a small county in Yunan, they found Meiman, who was going to be killed and cooked as a dish on the dining table. Meiman is a very beautiful Alaska husky. She didn’t know what was going to happen to her, and was playing with another dog outside her cage. She was cute and happy inside her cage. She must have been a pet dog, and was once loved in a home. But why was she there? She couldn’t talk, but her horrible experience was noticed by us. At the last moment before she was sent to the kitchen, GAPI bought her and sent her to the animal base in Yunan. We named her Meiman, wishing her since now to have a happy life and would never be hurt again.
