Bao Bao, the "iron wire puppy" once pulled at the heartstrings of many dog rescue volunteers in Wuhan. On a cold rainy day, he was found wandering on the street with thick iron wire tied to his mouth, unable to eat or drink. Our GAPI volunteers in Wuhan searched for him several times before finding the baby in a remote place. When we found the baby and took off the thick iron wire from his mouth, it occurred to us that the baby's mouth and chin were ulcerated. According to a witness, there might be more than a dozen stray dogs that could not eat or drink due to the iron wire. After being sent to the hospital, he was in good health with only some skin diseases. Soon the baby was adopted by our American caring adopters via GAPI. The baby is lucky, but also helpless. Because of the COVID-19 epidemic, the flights to the United States were cancelled. Without travelling volunteers, the baby is temporarily unable to go to the United States to reunite with his new mother and can only stay at the rescue center. If you or a caring person you know has the opportunity to fly to Chicago from China, please contact us. We will arrange all flight documents and procedures. You do not need to pay any costs. Our volunteers in China and the United States will also handle the dog transfer to and from the airports. At the same time, we also open domestic adoption in Shanghai or Wuhan. If you are willing to give your baby a warm home, please contact us. Bao Bao is waiting for you here~~
